Your data

How it works
- Your data is stored on your device. Cloud requests can include memories and connected data.

AI models
Your messages only go to the AI model you choose, and only after you've allowed it.

- Eigin asks before anything goes to a cloud model for the first time.

How we make money
We earn our keep with private cloud AI and commercial plans, not with your data.

Open source
Eigin is open source, so you can see how it handles your data and what it's allowed to do.
How it works
- The code is public under the AGPL licence.
- Eigin doesn’t depend on our company to keep working. You can use a local model or connect your own provider.
- For complete control, you can self-host our cloud services too.
Limitations
No system protects against everything. Here's where the limits are.
Cloud models can read your current conversation
To answer you, a cloud model has to read what you send. Our cloud AI models don't store your conversations, but with your own provider, its terms apply.
Your device is the vault
Your data is as safe as your device. If someone can open your device, they can read your chats.
Content can try to trick the agent
Web pages and tools can hide instructions for the agent. By default, Eigin asks you before it reads outside sources, and before any action with consequences.
We see some traffic
Our cloud services see your IP address temporarily, to stop abuse. They don't need your name, email or a user ID.
AI can make mistakes
Any AI model can be confidently wrong. Check the output before you rely on it.
